RC Selector

RC Selector is the River Cleaning technology designed to automatically identify and separate polluting waste from organic materials, improving efficiency, sustainability, and waterway management.

Traditional systems indiscriminately intercept all materials transported by the current, generating accumulations, high operational costs, and impacts on the river’s natural balance. With RC Selector, River Cleaning introduces an innovative approach: intelligent waste selection that retains polluting materials while allowing the natural flow of organic debris. The technology is designed to be integrated into all River Cleaning barriers, enhancing their performance and transforming them into advanced selective management systems.

Automatic waste selection system

RC Selector is an advanced system, currently in the POC (Proof of Concept) phase, combining multiple identification technologies.

How does it work step by step?

1. Cameras and sonar systems analyze materials both on the surface and underwater.

2. The collected data is processed by AI-based software, which reconstructs an accurate real-time image of the waste and enables material classification.

3. All information is stored and displayed through a dedicated dashboard.

4. The mechanical selector then separates the materials: it retains contaminants such as plastic while allowing organic materials, such as wood, to flow downstream — or vice versa.

Key Advantages

Selective interception of polluting materials
Reduction of waste volumes and operational costs
Increased system efficiency and continuity
Real-time monitoring and data collection
Integration with all River Cleaning barriers
Advanced underwater vision analysis for greater accuracy

A new frontier in river waste management

RC Selector represents a major evolution in river cleaning: not only intercepting waste, but intelligently selecting it. This approach reduces environmental impact, optimizes operational costs, and improves the overall performance of the installations.
